Hello Alicia and welcome to Future Homeschool Authors!
Thank you!
First could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a born-again Christian, homeschool graduate, and musician, besides being an author. When I am not writing, I enjoy crafting, card-making, crocheting, and spending time with my Teacup Schnauzer and siblings. I am also a coffee connesiuer and enjoy frothing milk and brewing coffee in my French Press!
Whats your favorite book?
The Bible. Next, I love Prisoners of the Sea, Pearl Maiden, Sir Knight of the Splendid Way, and many, many more!
Who's your favorite Author?
Florence Kingsley.
If you could meet one person who would it be?
Russell Boulter, Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort, or John Yates. I couldn't pick!
Can you tell us anything about the book your working on right now?
I am working on the third installment in The Comrades of Honor Series. Entitled Rising to the Challenge, it deals with perseverance and unconditional love in a setting of medieval knights, squires, castles, treachery, and trials. Will Sir Kenneth and Squire Brion ever get over their misunderstandings and learn to trust each other? Will the treachery of Lantenac Castle be resolved? And will Sir Kenneth be forced to watch his lady-love wed another?
What was the best part of writing (The Book you want to be featured)?
I love writing about squires and the relationship they had with their knights. Although their positions were not always easy, the mentoring and friendship between them is definitely a rewarding topic to cover.
How did you begin writing?
I think I was born writing! :) I got really serious about it, however, when I was eleven.
What inspired you to begin writing?
My medieval series was inspired by the desire to create family friendly literature about the Middle Ages that didn't contain unhistorical elements of sorcery, fantasy, or witchcraft.
What is your favorite genera?
Historical-fiction.
Do you do any research for you books? If you do what are your main sources?
I generally research the history for my books for years before the book is published. I use the internet, library, and speaking to professional historians for my sources.
What do you like most about writing?
I like the lessons God teaches me, the friendship I develop with my characters, and the understanding of human nature I gain along the way.
Any final thoughts?
